Nitrogen Generator System Overview
The nitrogen system is designed based on technical requirements and on-site usage conditions. The complete nitrogen generation equipment consists of air compressors, cold dryers, filters, air storage tanks, and the nitrogen generator unit.
Nitrogen System Process
Process Principle: Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA)
Pressure swing adsorption nitrogen production uses clean, dry compressed air as raw material. It employs a high-efficiency solid adsorbent (carbon molecular sieve) to selectively adsorb oxygen. Since oxygen molecules are smaller and diffuse faster into the molecular sieve than nitrogen, nitrogen-rich gas is collected. When the sieve reaches saturation, pressure is reduced to release the adsorbed oxygen, a process called regeneration. By using two towers in parallel, the system provides a continuous nitrogen stream.
